Wondering if we’ll be a good fit for each other? Here’s the approach I take to caring for each and every one of the people I hope to help flourish.
I believe that our bodies are designed to be healthy and flourish. However, the cumulative burden of environmental toxins, diet shortcomings, lifestyle choices, and daily stress prevent us from attaining optimal health.
We need to work on identifying the stressor or root cause to get the body back into balance in addition to building strong nutritional and lifestyle foundations.
I utilize a combination of conventional, functional and integrative approaches to improve your health. Functional medicine seeks to identify the root cause of a health condition through an in-depth health history of your child’s life including a deep dive into areas where we can optimize diet and lifestyle choices. Additionally, functional medicine can include evaluation and interpretation of traditional lab work (as well as unique laboratory tests) through a different lens and targeted supplement therapy.
Functional medicine helps to understand the WHY behind certain symptoms or issues that are causing you problems.
I utilize a functional medicine approach, which unmasks and helps us identify the trigger behind your main complaint.
I also utilize an integrative approach to health, which considers the whole child and all aspects of life including mental & emotional health, physical movement, growth & spirituality, environmental & lifestyle stressors, nutrition, family balance, and exercise.
I believe it is so important to work on all areas of wellness to feel your best. One magical diet or supplement is not going to give you long lasting results! It is necessary to continue to improve in all areas of life to feel your best.
By combining the conventional, functional and integrative medicine approach to healthcare, I can help your child and family achieve balance and wellness in many areas of life. This does not mean your child needs to be perfect in every aspect, it just means we need to work on creating balance in various areas to help them reach the best version of themself.
By taking a 360 degree look at the whole child I can get a clear picture of what areas of wellness need to be improved for optimal health and wellbeing.
What works for one person does not necessarily work for another person. Trust me, my three boys have taught me that!
